Around 70 figures from the local sporting community gathered as the body’s new chief executive officer, Catriona McAllister, chairman of the shadow board, Phil Austin, and general manager, Dave Kennedy, all addressed the audience.
Following a vote by the States of Jersey on 23 May, in favour of the creation of Jersey Sport, the new organisation has now commenced operation.
‘I could not be more pleased to have reached this milestone occasion where Jersey Sport is now a reality,’ said Austin.
