Football: Wanderers break Le Riche trend with long-awaited triumph

Kamen Nafkha and Jamie Mourant put Wanderers 2-0 up before the break, and after substitute Sam Luce pulled a goal back for the Scots Mourant struck again to make the game safe deep into stoppage time.

‘It’s a great way to end the season with a second trophy,’ said Wanderers manager Andrew Johnstone, who guided his side to Charity Cup success at the start of the campaign.

‘It’s the end of Chris Andrews’ playing career as well so it’s a good night for him too as he went up to lift the cup.’
