Rugby: Fiji international among Reds new signings

The 29-year-old, who earned World Cup caps against Wales and Uruguay in 2015, will move to the Island this summer after spending time with New Zealand outfit Canterbury for the 2016 Mitre 10 Cup. He will be joined by fellow tighthead Alec Clarey and looseheads Roy Godfrey and Jordan Brodley, who have also been signed to hold up the Reds pack for the 2017/18 campaign.

Jake Woolmore and Jake Armstrong have both been retained.

Atalifo, standing at 5-feet 10-inches tall and weighing 20 stone, featured in a Daily Telegraph article profiling the ‘ten biggest players’ at the 2015 World Cup. The ‘fans favourite’ was a firefighter in Fiji ‘when not flattening backs’.
