Riding in the first round of the event in Dorset, the 20-year-old completed the 24-mile course in 50 min 27 sec – almost a minute faster than the previous course record.
Team Bottrill rider Josh Williams claimed top spot in 48.34.
Rebours and fellow Gold Coast hopeful Dan Halksworth require five top-five finishes at national level this year to meet one of Jersey Cycling’s “performance indicators” for the Commonwealth Games.
