Rugby: Morgan urges Reds fans to roar

Keen to ensure that support for the unbeaten league leaders does not outweigh that given to the hosts, the Reds are pulling out all stops for the 3 pm kick-off, with an extra marquee, additional bars and live post-match entertainment all set to feature.

The club’s online ticketing platform – used almost exclusively by visiting fans – has rarely reached 100 sales per game this season, but just under 1,000 tickets for the game have been sold via the Reds’ website.

‘Usually around 90 per cent of our online sales are to visitors, so to go from around 100 to 1,000 – it’s indicative of the large number of Irish supporters coming over,’ said chairman Mark Morgan.

‘Clearly it’s going to be bigger than anything we’ve seen this season, without a doubt, and the last thing we want is to be outsung or “outboarded”.
