Football: Botterill hits back at JFA critics

Simon Petulla, his son Charlie, Jason Carpenter and Jimmy Kelly stood down en bloc last week, stating that their position with the JFA was ‘untenable’.

Player Development Centre director Botterill, who took charge of Jersey’s women for their friendly fixture against the Royal Navy FA on Saturday, says she is ‘disgusted’ with the nature of recent events and expressed frustration at comments made on social media.

‘The JFA is more than just a couple of people. There’s so much good going on and all that hard work has been undone in a couple of days.’
