Football: Former pro Soporan picked for Clyde clash

The Romanian defender, who once attracted a transfer fee of 200,000 euros and played in the third qualifying round of the Europa League, has been named alongside ten Muratti winners as Martin Cassidy and Paddy O’Toole take the side on an interim basis following the resignation of Brian Little. Junior Evan Nobes has also been included in an Island senior squad for the first time.

Scottish League 2 outfit Clyde, managed by former Scotland international Barry Ferguson, arrive in the Island today for a five-day training camp. Saturday’s friendly kicks off at St Brelade at 3 pm.
