And, with initial plans suggesting a completion date towards the end of February, there is the hope that the double-header – on Saturday 7 March – will be the first action to take place on their new artificial facility.
Island ladies boss Simon Petulla has said he is ‘delighted’ that the Navy will be bringing across a women’s side, with their visit doubling the number of pre-Island Games fixtures for his team. The Muratti against Guernsey is currently the only other arranged fixture before Jersey 2015.
