THE JERSEY under-21 Muratti football squad will be hoping to make it four wins in a row tomorrow as they compete with Guernsey for the Ambassadeur Bowl at Springfield.

The series is now level at 12 wins apiece and after spanking the Sarnians 2-0 in their own back yard last season, Jersey will be aspiring to produce a similar performance in front of their home support.

The match is set to kick off at 1.30 pm and coach Craig Culkin, who will be running the side with Dave Kennedy, is not thinking about the winning streak Jersey are on in this competition.

‘I’ve not thought about it to be honest,’ he said. ‘I’m not fussed about records – it’s all about Saturday’s game, we’re just going to focus on the 90 minutes and play at our best. Records like that have no relevance on future games whatsoever.'
