Badminton dream team for Glasgow?

Former professional and 2002 national champion, Mark Constable (36), has lived in the Island for nine years and he would love the chance to represent Jersey.

Constable said: ‘Jersey’s my home now and I’m heavily involved in badminton here, so I’d love to represent the Island as part of that.’

He, along with doubles partner and fellow Glasgow hopeful Alex Hutchings, has already begun to seek the ranking points required in order to qualify for the 2014 Games.

Should all go to plan, Constable and Hutchings would be joined in the Jersey ‘dream-team’ by five-times national champion Elizabeth Cann, doubles star Mariana Agathangelou and Solenn Pasturel.
