Jersey’s players are priming themselves for their biggest test of their season to date, the crucial home encounter with Rotherham Titans.

There will be just three league matches at St Peter after this weekend, leaving no doubt about the need for a win on home soil to keep Ben Harvey’s men narrowly clear of the Championship’s relegation trapdoor.

The Island’s director of rugby is ready for a massively physical battle, with two of the league’s most impressive packs ready to lock horns on a pitch that will again be heavy after recent rain and snow.

‘The pitch is still very wet, and this will make the break-down area and set-piece confrontation very important,’ he said.'

Kick-off is at 3 pm

If Jersey win tomorrow and Doncaster Knights lose next Friday to London Scottish we might be in with a chance of staying in the Championship.

Go on lads, give them a good clean kicking!
