Team Jets put in an impressive performance at Les Ormes yesterday , beating Bath 56-37 and reinforcing their position at the top of South West Regional League I.

Their win yesterday before a large crowd was achieved despite being without captain Lauren Divine, who was forced to pull out at the last minute because of illness.

Acting Jets captain Lynsey Pitman was pleased with the way the team performed and felt the training over the Christmas period had a lot to do with it.

‘It was a brilliant team performance and all the hard work we’ve put in during training over the Christmas break has paid off,' she said.

The JEP is so good at over blowing performances. I remember the one where Jersey lost to Leinster in the British and Irish Cup in the rugby and there was no mention that it was the Leinster reserve team.

The same goes for this article. The Team Bath first team would have Jersey for breakfast. This was their development team not the one that is much better than Jersey. Please mention this in future!

Nice one Nick, cant be having a positive report on a Jersey sports team can we!!

did you see any of the sports reports during the 2012 Olympics? dispicable!

And as for write up in The Guardian about Bradley Wiggins becoming the first brit to win the Tour De France...the amount of positive press was sickening!

Nick

Yah - except when Wiggins won he beat the best in the world to acheive his Tour de France victory, this is slightly different. The Jets report goes all blase without doing what journalists are meant to do, and report the facts... that this was not the Superleague Team Bath side. This fact has convienetly been disregarded and it makes it look like Jersey beat one of the best sides in the UK. They didn't.
