Big guns advance on

JERSEY’S Steve Eusebini and Jono Nolan both reached the last 16 of the £6,200 Darts Corner Jersey men’s Open at the Merton Hotel last night.

JERSEY’S Steve Eusebini and Jono Nolan both reached the last 16 of the £6,200 Darts Corner Jersey men’s Open at the Merton Hotel last night.

Island player Eusebini defeated three visiting players before succumbing 4-2 against England’s Scott Mitchell, the currently ranked eleven in the British Darts Organisation Rankings, 4-2.

One round earlier Mitchell took out Jersey’s Eddie Le Bailly junior 4-0 after the youngster had himself recorded two wins against visiting players.

Nolan, who after receiving a first-round bye, defeated Jersey’s Jon Watkins (4-2) and Glen Le Moignan (4-0) before going down 4-2 against Sam Head, the latter the champion at the British Teenage Open in July this year.
