Jets eager to hit heights

TEAM JETS will bid to make it a hat-trick of home wins this season against the unknown quantity of Weston tomorrow lunchtime at Les Ormes.

Jersey’s netballers are currently two points clear at the top of the South West Regional Division I table and they were last weekend boosted by the surprise defeat of third-placed Saints Cornwall.

Jets coach Linda Andrews said: ‘This is a very tight league we are playing in; there are so many close games and even a few draws. Team Bath defeated Saints Cornwall last weekend and I was surprised by that result but I don’t know if Cornwall had players missing or whether it was Bath playing well.’
