Let the breaks begin!

Organised once again by the Jersey Bar Billiards League, the competition gets under way at 7.30 tomorrow evening, with three full rounds of the World Doubles Championship, which will reduce the field from 64 pairs to eight by the end of the evening.

There are some cracking-looking matches in the first round of what is a straightforward knockout competition, non more so than the first series encounter between the reigning champions Bernie McCluskey and Paul Sainsbury of Reading who face past Jersey champions Graham Bisson and Nigel Ryall of the Trinity Arms.
