Roberts signs deal to buy CI fuel companies

In a deal signed yesterday the company, which runs five forecourts in Jersey and the Esso franchise, purchased both Petroleum Distributors (Jersey) Limited (PDJ) and Guernsey Petroleum Distributors Limited (GPD) from their parent company, NGI Limited.

The deal is awaiting approval by the Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authorities, however.

Roberts managing director Ricky Davey said that the takeover would allow the company to work more efficiently and help cut costs for customers
