Remand in custody after bare-chested court appearance

Paul David William Le Geyt (26), of Westlea Court, Rue Le Masurier, had no top on when he appeared in the dock in the Magistrate’s Court alongside three States police officers.

Mr Le Geyt is alleged to have stolen a medical prescription from Windsor Medical Practice at the Lido Medical Centre on 26 July.

It is further alleged he engaged in disorderly conduct by using threatening and abusive language while in the doctor’s surgery.

And he is also accused of having attempted to acquire Valium under false pretences by presenting an unsigned prescription at Reid’s Pharmacy at Lido Medical Centre on the same occasion.

Centenier Tony Batho said that the final charge the defendant faced was taking and driving away a grey Peugeot moped and riding it without a valid licence or insurance.

Relief Magistrate Sarah Fitz refused bail and adjourned the case until 24 August.
