Six Islanders recognised in Queen’s Birthday Honours list

Sir William, whose brother Sir Philip Bailhache previously served as Bailiff, was appointed to the role in January 2015.

St Saviour resident Carole Penfold has been made an MBE for her long-term services to the community through the League of Friends.

Trinity resident Brian Heath, who is the Island’s chief probation officer, has been made an MBE for services to the Jersey Probation and Aftercare Service.

And Paul Tucker, who is the Island Scouting Fellowship chairman and who spent three years as the Island Commissioner for Jersey Scouts, has also been made an MBE for services to scouting in Jersey.

Two Islanders have also been awarded British Empire Medals.

Carole-Anne Robins, who together with her partner Roger Rondel and the rest of her family has raised thousands of pounds for a multitude of charities over the years, has received the BEM for her services to the community.

And Pat Robson, who has helped to run the Harbour Gallery in St Aubin for 19 years, has been awarded a BEM for services to art in the Island.
