Richard Alan Stephen Cousins (35), of Route de St Aubin, admitted common assault and causing a breach of the peace by fighting.
The Magistrate’s Court heard that at about 11.30 pm on 13 May Cousins became involved in a dispute with a doorman at the Havana nightclub in Bath Street.
He had been refused entry and responded by slapping the doorman in the face.
A few minutes later, in Beresford Street, Cousins got into a fight with another man.
A police officer stopped the fight and Cousins walked away, but was arrested a short time later for the earlier assault on the doorman.
Advocate Lauren Glynn, defending, said that the defendant had no recent record and the last relevant offence had been in 2011.
