Condor sailings back on

On Thursday evening Condor cancelled all of the following day’s sailings, saying that a fault with the Liberation’s starboard main engine which may be common to all engines had been discovered.

It was initially thought it would take all of Friday to fix the problem but engineers have completed the job overnight. The Liberation will now run on a slightly revised schedule.

Passengers due to travel on Friday have been contacted and invited to transfer back to the Liberation without charge if they wish.

In a statement Condor said: ‘Our engineers have done a fantastic job so the essential maintenance work on Liberation’s engines has been completed overnight. We had been advised by the engine manufacturers that the work would take all of last night and all of today, so credit to our teams.’
