Spring was equal second warmest on record

The average temperature during March, April and May was 12.1c – well above the 30-year average of 10.8c.

The warmest ever spring was in 2011, when the temperature averaged 12.3c.

It was also sunnier than usual, with 691.6 hours of sunshine recorded, compared to an average of 584.7c.

But the figures show it was also wetter than normal. Jersey Met recorded 201mm of rain during the three-month period – well above the average of 180.3mm.
