Drug dealer arrived during police search

for 3½ years by the Royal Court.

Michael Alan Palmer (65) admitted to police that he sold 10 kg of cannabis in large wholesale chunks, which would have a total street value of between £150,000 and £200,000.

Palmer was arrested after he turned up at the flat of Antonio Spinola while police were searching it. An initial search of Palmer’s car uncovered a carrier bag containing just over £14,000 in cash.

Palmer was arrested and during a second police interview admitted that the cash had come from supplying cannabis.

He told police that he had sold two people 2 kg each and another two people 3 kg each – all for £7,000 per kilogram. Although Palmer accepted that he knew Spinola, he denied any involvement with him.
