Emails reveal Members’ thoughts after Brexit

A freedom of information request, submitted by the JEP, shows that a tweet sent by then Assistant Chief Minister Philip Ozouf describing himself, Chief Minister Ian Gorst and External Relations Minister Philip Bailhache as a ‘triumvirate’, which would address Brexit matters, raised eyebrows among his colleagues.

And the decision that the ‘triumvirate’ alone should speak publicly about the implications of Brexit for Jersey in the immediate aftermath of the referendum result was apparently not a view shared by Treasury Minister Alan Maclean.
