Tiny twister spotted off east coast – but weather is warming up for the weekend

Funnels are small twisting clouds which form in particularly unstable air.

If they touch the sea they are known as waterspouts, and if they hit land they become tornadoes.

The weather is due to warm-up over the coming days. Jersey Met is forecasting a high of 16 on Saturday with the risk of an isolated shower in the morning.

Temperatures are due to rise to 19c on Sunday, 21c on Monday, 18c on Tuesday and 19c on Wednesday.
