Emergency services called to series of accidents

The emergency services were called out to at least five crashes during the day.

These included an accident on Route de Maufant where the car careered off the road and flipped onto its roof – just metres from the scene of an almost identical crash two weeks ago.

Other accidents on Wednesday included a three-car collision on St Saviour’s Hill, a moped crash near the Rice Bowl and a two-car collision at Corbière.

The police were also called to a two-car collision in Georgetown on Thursday morning.

No one involved in the accidents suffered serious injury.

In a statement, the States police said: ‘We would like to remind road users to drive carefully and to drive to the conditions of the road.’
