JDC boss took home £200,000 last year

Including salary, fees, benefits and bonuses, Lee Henry took home pay of £207,184 during 2016, according to the newly published accounts of the States-owned Jersey Development Company. Of that £37,800 was paid as a bonus.

Finance director Simon Neal’s earnings for the year were £137,300, of which £19,800 came through bonuses.

Mr Henry and Mr Neal also received £25,125 and £17,625 respectively in pension contributions.

Key projects for the JDC last year included the development of the controversial International Finance Centre and the conversion of the former Jersey College for Girls building into the College Gardens residential site.

Dividends earned from the profits of the JDC are paid to the States, with the next dividend expected to be paid in 2019 following the completion of College Gardens.
