Human table football to kick off thanks to Autism Jersey

Teams are being invited to sign up for the tournament to raise money for Autism Jersey, whose fundraising and marketing manager Caroline Moody came up with the idea having seen the game on YouTube

‘It looked like everyone was having such a laugh. Human table football is considered to be one of the best team-building activities. What I particularly like about this event is that it is so inclusive – you can have any level of fitness and abilities. It’s all about having fun,’ she said.

The first tournament will be held on Saturday 20 May, from 10 am, at the Weighbridge, thanks to support from Simon Chard, managing director of Normans, and Simon Silbernagl, managing director of Camerons. Normans will be supplying the materials for the purpose-built pitch and Camerons are in charge of constructing it.

Alongside the tournament there will be a Beat the Goalie fun competition. If businesses would like to ask their boss to go in goal for an hour, they are asked to contact Liam Crenan at lcrenan@cpaglobal.com.

Each team will be made up of six players. The entry fee is £500. Anyone interested in securing their place should contact Caroline Moody as soon as possible by emailing c.moody@autismjersey.org.
