Michael Charles Brown (52) is accused of murdering John McCarthy at Vauxhall Gardens in October.

Mr McCarthy was found fatally injured outside the address by a member of the public.

In the Royal Court on Friday, Brown pleaded not guilty to murder but guilty to an alternative charge of manslaughter on the grounds of diminished responsibility.
