Continental Developments Limited is applying to demolish eight properties including and behind the Lotus House Chinese restaurant and neighbouring houses on the Inner Road.
The plans propose building 40 units of residential accommodation in four blocks and four commercial units with underground parking.
The existing properties that would make way for the new developments include Brooklyn Flats, Brooklyn Mews and Brooklyn Cottages, Ashley House, Belle View and West Way to the rear of the site, and Whitby House, which looks onto Route de St Aubin.
Continental Developments Limited want to build 15 one-bedroom flats, 22 two-bedroom flats spread over the four blocks and three three-bedroom houses.
Two previous applications, in 2014 and 2015, raised concerns and objections from the Planning Committee and neighbours who felt the development was overbearing and that properties would be overlooked. The number of units has been reduced from 79 as proposed in the first application.
