Swimarathon: Customs seize fifth lap award

After swimming 97 laps in 55 minutes, the team was awarded the RBC Corporate Challenge Cup – swimming just one more lap than the runners-up.

Over the last five years the teams from the Customs and Immigration Service have swam a total of 485 laps, which is the equivalent distance from Jersey to France.

Neil Hutton, captain of the team, said: ‘We are delighted to have won the RBC Corporate Challenge Cup for the fifth year running and we pride ourselves on the fact that we have been unbeaten for so long.
