Tamba Park owner Jonathan Ruff’s suggestions include turning Liberty Wharf into an entertainment centre, using the commercial space on the ground floor of the new Jersey International Finance Centre for facilities such as a bowling alley and transforming the former Le Seelleur joinery workshop next to the Millennium Town Park into a café with an indoor play area. Mr Ruff recently purchased the joinery from the States and also plans to create homes on the site.

And the businessman, who has previously expressed an interest in transforming Fort Regent into a state-of-the-art entertainment centre, has also shelved plans to extend the Tamba Park site and develop 15 homes as well as paintballing, bowling and go-karting facilities.

In the face of opposition to the plans and concern that he may not receive planning permission, Mr Ruff now intends to submit a revised application for 35 self-catering units on the land.
