Physical exercise is key to a healthy mind, students told

Students from the whole school took part in the 15-minute ‘Wake and shake’ exercise session, aimed at showing that physical health can improve a person’s mental health.

The session, run by Nick Dingle, a personal trainer from Align, was one of a series of events the school ran throughout the week focusing on the students’ well-being.

Head teacher Nick Falle said: ‘We have a responsibility to do everything we can to make our pupils ready for the challenges they face. Social media plays a big part in young people’s lives, and on Monday we encouraged students to go 24 hours without using their mobile phones. Not everyone did it, but the important thing was that people thought about it.’
