Revised plans for beachside restaurant site

Planning consent for a residential development on the site was first granted in 2004 but a permit for a redesigned property was issued in September 2013.

In the accompanying design statement document, the application is described as focusing on amendments to the proposed new building, which entail realigning it to maximise views over the beach and to St Brelade’s Bay.

In addition, the visual impact of the façade viewed from the road and public car park will be reduced. The plans still include provision for basement parking but this also been revised.

The latest plans submitted by Morris Architects on behalf of La Retraite de la Cotte have been published this week on Planning’s website. The agent was not available for comment.
