Unsolved mystery of the scrapbook bunker

Images of Chief Minister Ian Gorst and Guernsey sex offender Mark Frost, as well as several articles about drink-driving in Jersey, the UK and Ireland have been taped to the walls of the structure, which is between La Pulente and Petit Port.

Many of the articles have been published in the last few weeks.

The fortification, which is on private land, is known as Resistance Nest l’Oeillère. It has fallen into disrepair in recent years and has been home to several so-called bunker parties.

Many of the walls are adorned with graffiti, and entrance shafts are filled with beer cans, bottles of spirits and other litter.

St Brelade Centenier Amanda Wright said that the newspaper cuttings inside the bunker were bizarre, and the Channel Island Occupation Society has condemned the fact that the structure had fallen into such a condition.
