The event, which is billed as a celebration of electronic music and is sponsored by Airtel-Vodafone, is due to be held at Coronation Park on Saturday 29 July and has previously featured performances from the likes of Soul II Soul and Simian Mobile Disco.
Reasons co-organiser Ben Newman said that Scottish band Primal Scream, best known for their hits Rocks, Movin’ On Up and Country Girl, were ‘the epitome of a band that can bring rockers and ravers together’. They performed at Jersey Live in 2012.
He said: ‘Their breakthrough album Screamadelica is without parallel, and still sounds vital after more than 25 years. Subsequent albums have touched on a variety of sounds but they have frequently referenced dance influences.
