At around 9.30 am the States police, the Infrastructure Department and the Fire and Rescue
Service were called to deal with localised flooding between La Haule and Beaumont.
And motorists faced testing conditions while driving through St Peter’s Valley near to the Vic in the Valley pub where the road was also flooded.
Meanwhile in St Mary, Mont de Ste Marie, which runs down to Grève de Lecq, was closed after a landslide sent mud and rocks crashing on to the road. It was due to reopen today.
Centenier Chris Bunt, from the St Mary honorary police, said that the road was too dangerous for Islanders to use.
