Michael Mayo and Rob Cassin plan to tackle three events, each in a different Channel Island, in one day to raise funds for Jersey Hospice

SARK to Jersey winners Michael Mayo and Rob Cassin will attempt to ‘beat the daylight’ later this year in a multi-sport triple header around Jersey, Guernsey and Herm.

Mayo (53), a former Jersey RFC player and cross-Channel rower, and Cassin (57), an Atlantic rower, hope to row around Jersey on a spring tide in August before cycling around Guernsey and running around Herm. They intend to complete the challenge in one day, raising funds for Jersey Hospice Care.

‘We’ve both lost family members who have been in the loving care of Jersey Hospice over the last few months and in previous years, so we thought “we’ve got to do something”,’ said Mayo.
