A JEP reporter spent three hours with Melissa Alves (22), who highlighted the issues she faces when parking and shopping in town. Miss Alves was born with spina bifida and has been unable to use her legs her whole life.
Deputy Eddie Noel wrote on Facebook that he would like to meet Miss Alves and discuss what improvements could be made for wheelchair users in St Helier and elsewhere.
The Infrastructure Minister has since made contact with Miss Alves and a meeting is due to take place in the coming weeks.
