Shane-Lee Ray (29), of Princes Risborough, Buckinghamshire, was arrested after driving his Mini Cooper off the Commodore Clipper at about 8.20 pm on Friday.
The court heard that Customs officers found 64.4 kg of the class B drug.
During yesterday’s hearing, Magistrate Bridget Shaw said that the case would be transferred to the Royal Court.
No bail application was made and Mr Ray was remanded in custody until his next court appearance on 13 February.
It is expected that a hearing to formally commit the case to the Royal Court will take place on 27 February.
