Ian James Buxton (59) also had his licence endorsed, following the incident on the morning of Sunday 25 October last year which resulted in two women cyclists requiring surgery and a male cyclist needing physiotherapy.
Buxton, who also pleaded guilty to driving a car with defective tyres, committed the offence as he travelled to visit his disabled daughter, who now requires 24-hour care after she suffered serious injuries in a road accident.
