Tamba owner gives Arctic Village cold shoulder

Tamba Park owner Johnathan Ruff has sparked an online debate after giving the attraction the cold shoulder on Sunday after visiting ‘for two minutes’ with his family.

Writing on Tamba Park’s Facebook page, which has nearly 10,000 followers, Mr Ruff said that he was curious to see what it was like for himself after hearing some bad reviews.

Although he admits that he is ‘biased’ as Tamba Park has its own Winter Wonderland this Christmas he said he needed to speak out.

In his post about Arctic Village, on the Weighbridge, Mr Ruff said: ‘I was shocked at how poor it was. No disrespect to the people operating inside it as most of what was on offer was nice, like the stalls etc. But what I was most shocked by was how badly themed it was. It was certainly no Artic village and we left after spending two minutes and no money in there.’

In the post he also questioned why the event was allowed to open in such a ‘prominent location’ and urged the States to make sure that steps are taken to ensure ‘poor attractions’ are not given ‘the most prominent spot in Jersey’ and risk putting tourists off the Island.
