Huge bank of fog from France settles over much of the Island

But this rather menacing-looking spectacle was nothing more than a huge bank of fog which made its way up from France on Sunday and settled over St Helier and much of the rest of the Island.

The gloomy conditions caused disruption to flights and continued yesterday.

Jersey Met said that fog patches were likely to affect the Island for much of the rest of the week.

The weather is also likely to remain mild, with daytime temperatures peaking at between 10°C and 12°C.
