Rapid response team to deal with cardiac emergencies

The T-LOC (‘transient loss of consciousness’) clinic, set up with £150,000 raised by the charity the Jersey Heart Support Group, aims to cut waiting times as well as the number of hospital admissions.

Specially trained nurses will run the service alongside the main cardiology clinics in the Hospital.

As a result of the fundraising of the charity group, specialist arrhythmia heart nurse Sister Kelly-Anne Kinsella has been appointed to the T-LOC heart team at the Hospital for the next three years.

She will work alongside fellow specialist Sister Angela Hall to provide the rapid assessment service.
