Condor: No plans to increase the fleet

However, the ferry operator said that it might be open to the idea of introducing a new conventional car ferry to its fleet, but only if the governments in both Jersey and Guernsey look at extending its ten-year operating licence or contribute towards the cost.

The announcements form part of a comprehensive service review which Condor commissioned into its own business following a string of bad publicity and poor customer feedback over the past 12 months.

The 212-page document, released today, covers all aspects of the service and has sought feedback from customers here and in the UK, members of various tourism bodies and politicians and business leaders from across the Channel Islands.
