Both rank taxis and private-hire cabs can use the pick-up point at Liberation Station between midnight and 4 am. The last bus leaves from outside the station at 11.45 pm, after which the area outside will be used for the rank.
Currently, only taxis, which are subjected to a government-controlled price structure, can use the rank at the Weighbridge, which at peak times often sees dozens of people queuing for long periods. But private-hire cabs will be able to use the Liberation Station rank in the same way that they can use those at the Airport and Harbour as long as they adjust their prices to meet government limits.
