Ten-year-old Oliver runs for a week to help find cancer cure

Oliver Vibert from St Ouen, who attends Victoria College Prep, wanted to do something to help cancer patients after his grandmother, Margery Vibert, and family friends contracted the disease.

And his mother, Alison, said now all the sponsorship money had been collected he is planning another fundraising event next spring when he hopes to run 40 miles around the Island.

The schoolboy’s next challenge is likely to take place in April and he is looking for Islanders to join him as he runs around the coast over consecutive days.
