Woman charged with stabbing her partner

The 52-year-old of Georgetown Road, St Saviour, is facing a charge of grave and criminal assault following an alleged incident at her home on Friday.

Police legal adviser Ann Reddrop told the Relief Magistrate, David Le Cornu, that because the case was an alleged stabbing, in her view she felt the matter was beyond the jurisdiction of the Magistrate’s Court.

No decision was made on which court would deal with the case and Mr Le Cornu adjourned the hearing for four weeks.
