Airlines in Jersey will seek to open Heathrow routes

Flybe, Blue Islands and easyJet have all said that they will look at expanding their links with Heathrow following the UK government’s announcement that it plans to expand Britain’s largest airport.

Regional airline Flybe recently said that it would consider opening new routes between Heathrow and 12 regional airports in the British Isles, including Jersey, if the expansion was approved.

The airline called for Heathrow to become a ‘hub for the whole of the UK’ and ensure that some of its new capacity is reserved for regional flights at affordable prices.
