Police car in crash on way to help officers

The incident, which involved a BMW States police car covered in Pride branding celebrating the LGBTQ community, occurred at the junction of David Place and Stopford Road at about 1.45 am yesterday.

The police car appeared to suffer damage to its front bumper and bonnet and the airbag was deployed.

No one was injured and a spokeswoman for the States police said that investigators would pass a file on to the Law Officers’ Department to decide whether further action will be taken.
