Services clubs’ treasurer charged with fraud

The 57-year-old will have his case heard in the Royal Court after Relief Magistrate Sarah Fitz decided that it was too serious to be heard in the Magistrate’s Court.

The former treasurer is charged with a total of 18 offences.

It is alleged that he stole a total of £108,452 from the Jersey United Services Club between 29 January 2014 and 13 September 2016.

And he is also accused of stealing £110,000 from the Royal British Legion between 26 November 2014 and 23 September 2016.
